On May 31, 2013, the NRC issued a letter describing the termination of the Reactor Oversight Process for KPS and commencement of the Decommissioning Power Reactor Inspection Program (Reference 3). In that letter the NRC states that it will conduct the inspection for the Emergency Preparedness White finding using Inspection Procedure 92702, "Follow-Up on Corrective Actions for Violations and Deviations," to verify appropriate corrective actions are being implemented instead of using Inspection Procedure 95001.DEK has undertaken the steps necessary to assure that the cause evaluation and corrective actions are of sufficient scope and breadth to address the identified performance deficiencies.
