KEWAUNEE POWER STATION - REQUEST FOR RELIEF FROM THEREQUIREMENTS OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS BOILER AND PRESSURE VESSEL CODE (TAC NOS. MC7897 THROUGH MC7969)

Dear Mr. Christian:

By letter dated June 23,2005, Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc. (DEK), submitted requests forrelief from the requirement of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code concerning Inservice Inspection for Kewaunee Power Station. These requests for relief are for the third 10-year inservice inspection interval that ended June 16, 2004. During the U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff's review of these reliefrequests, the NRC staff determined that additional information was required to complete itsreview. By letter dated March 29, 2006, DEK provided the requested information and also withdrew the following relief requests: RR-G-7-5, RR-G-7-6, RR-G-7-7, RR-G-7-11, RR-G-7-17, RR-G-7-18, RR-G-7-19, RR-G- -24, RR-G-7-29, RR-G-7-38, RR-G-7-46, RR-G-7-58, RR-G-7-62, RR-G-7-63, RR-G-7-72, RR-G-7-73. The NRC acknowledges the withdrawal ofthese relief requests. The remaining relief requests associated with the June 16, 2004, application, will be addressed in a future safety evaluation.Sincerely, /RA/L.
