Donald C.Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 REQUEST TO EXTEND IMPLEMENTATION DATE FOR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION AMENDMENTS 216 AND 200

Reference:

Letter, John B.Hickman to E.E.Fitzpatrick,"Donald C.Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2, ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS RE: BORIC ACID CONCENTRATION REDUCTION (TAC NOS.M94940 AND M94941)", dated August 7, 1997.The referenced letter transmitted unit 1 technical specification (T/S)amendment 216 and unit 2 T/S amendment 200.The amendments for both units increase the minimum borated water volume in the boric acid storage system and decrease the required boron concentration.
