F02700328 (VITS NO. 83-022) - BOLTING MATERIAL IN DIESEL GENERATOR NOT PROPERLY IDENTIFIED'IN ACCORDANCE WITH DESIGN REQUIREMENTS A Vendor Program Branch (VPB) inspection was conducted on July 11-15, 1983, at the Transamerica Delaval, Inc. , facility in Oakland, California, which included the subject item in the scope. The results of the inspection are documented in the attached VPB Inspection Report No. 6 In summary, the problem appears to relate to a misunderstanding between Ebasco and Transamerica Delaval, Inc. , in regard to whether bolting material should have been procured to AISI or ASTM specifications.
