50-416 & 417 Coupling of Delaval Diesel Generator (DG).

and 251 Transamerica Delaval notified the NRC by REGION IV NOTIFIED letter dated 6/23/82 that the Governor Drive O k p il Couplings for Delaval Diesel Generators were fabricated using isopreme.

Isopreme is not qualified for the high temperature oil atmo-ys sphere encountered in this application and g fail causing the DG to trip. MP&L was notified of this defect 8/23. Couplings were manufactured i

by the Koppers Company.
