LER 315/99-006-00, "Fuel Crane Loads Lifted Over Spent Fuel Pool Could Impart Impact Energies Greater than Technical Specification Limits" The following commitment has been identified in this submittal:

~ The root cause investigation for this event has not been completed. Based on the results of this investigation, information regarding the safety signiTicance of this condition, including additional corrective and preventive actions, will be provided in an update to this LER upon completion of the investigation.

This LER was originally due to be submitted on March 23, 1999. Due to uncertainty as to technical issues that directly affect the reportability of this event, submittal of the LER was delayed to.allow for resolution of questions. It is recognized that the submittal of this document exceeds the 30 day requirement of 10.CFR 50.73. A Condition Report has been written and entered into the corrective action program to address this issue.
