SKAGIT NUCLEAR PROJECT QUALITY ASSURANCE My name is John W. Ellis. I am President and Chief Executive Officer of P :get Sound Power & Light Company. Our testimony today will address our commitment, as a Company, to Quality Assurance. As the sponsor, principal owner, and operator of the Skagit Nuclear Project with the responsi-bility for safety and reliability, Puget Power has imple-mented a comprehensive Quality Assurance Program that fully complies with all state and federal regulations. Appended to this testimony as Attachment 1 is my statement of policy, from our Qualt.y Assurance Manual, that expresses our com-mitments to Quality Assurance.
I am President and Chief Executive Officer of P :get Sound Power & Light Company.
I periodically review the organization reporting rela-tionship. I believe that it is proper for the QA function for A 7 sign and construction to report to Mr. Warren J.
Our testimony today will address our commitment, as a Company, to Quality Assurance.
Fergt? son, our Vice President, Engineering and Construction, due principally to Mr. Ferguson's strong background in nuc-lear quality assurance. The QA organization not only has the same reporting relationship to Mr. Ferguson as does the Skagit Project organization, but has direct access to me on any appropriate quality-related matter.
