Letter from NRC to WA, Notification of Licensed Operator Initial Examination 05000390/2013301 dated October 17, 2012 The referenced letter informed the Tennessee Valley Authority (WA) that the NRC will be administering operating tests during the weeks of March 18 and 25, 2013, with written examinations being administered during the week of April 1, 2013.
In the referenced letter, the NRC indicated that WA should submit preliminary reactor operator and senior reactor operator license applications, medical certifications, and waiver requests at least 30 days before the first examination date. This letter submits preliminary Personal Qualification Statements (NRC Form 398) and Certification of Medical Examinations (NRC Form 396) for the individuals scheduled to take the licensing examinations.
Enclosure I provides the name, type of examination, and the docket number for the applicants. Enclosure 2 provides the preliminary Personal Qualification Statements and Certification of Medical Examinations for those applicants. Complete and approved versions of these documents will be forwarded by March 4, 2013, as requested by the referenced letter.

Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) letter to the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) dated October 17, 2012, Watts Bar Nuclear Plant Notification of Licensed Operator Initial Examination 05000390/2013301 As documented in the referenced letter, operating and written examinations for a group of Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) operator license applicants are scheduled to begin on March 18, 2013. Also in the referenced letter, the NRC stated that the written examination and supporting reference materials are due to the NRC by January 11, 2013 and the operating tests are due to the NRC January 28, 2012. Consistent with the schedule defined in the referenced letter, the written examinations, reference materials, and operating tests were placed in the overnight mail to Mr. Ken Schaaf, NRC Region II, on January 10, 2013.
This letter contains no new commitments and in accordance with 10 CFR 55.49, Integrity of examinations arid tests, and NUREG 1021, Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors, appropriate measures have been taken to ensure examination integrity and security. Letter from NRC to WA, Notification of Licensed Operator Initial Examination 05000390/2013301 dated October 17, 2012 The referenced letter informed the Tennessee Valley Authority (WA) that the NRC will be administering operating tests during the weeks of March 18 and 25, 2013, with written examinations being administered during the week of April 1, 2013.
