Subject:

Tennessee Valley Authority - Radiological Emergency Plan and Central Emergency Control Center Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure Revision In accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.54(q) and 10 CFR 72.44(f), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is submitting a description of changes to the TVA Radiological Emergency Plan (REP). The affected document is the Central Emergency Control Center (CECC) Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure (EPIP) listed below.

Document Revision Title Effective Date CECC EPIP-8 58 Dose Assessment Staff Activities 04/01/2023 During Nuclear Plant Radiological Emergencies

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission CNL-23-033 Page 2 April 24, 2023 Description of Changes and Summary Analysis CECC EPIP-8 TVA revised this EPIP as follows.

x Attachment 19, ODCM Release Limits for Each Site Updated value for Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN) Wide Range Gaseous Effluent Radiation Monitors (WRGERMS) Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM) release limits, which changed from 1.44E+07 Ci/sec to 8.71 E+06 Ci/sec. This change is the result of a revision to the ODCM and subsequent calculation. This change aligns the procedure with the updated values.

The above change was evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3). TVA determined that the change did not reduce the effectiveness of the TVA REP. The TVA REP, as revised, continues to meet the requirements in Appendix E to 10 CFR 50 and the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b).

There are no new regulatory commitments in this letter. Please address any questions regarding this submittal to Stuart L. Rymer, Senior Manager, Fleet Licensing, at slrymer@tva.gov.
