Vessels and Internals Integrity Branch (EVIB) Reviewer: Ganesh Cheruvenki EVIB-RAl-1 Relief request 14R-02 proposes an alternative to the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Code), Section XI, "Rules for lnservice Inspection of Nuclear Power Plant Components," Tables IWB-2500 and IWB-2500-1, concerning reactor vessel internal (RVI) components (i.e., B-N-1, interior of reactor vessel, B-N-2, welded core support structures and interior attachments to reactor vessel and B-N-3, removable core support structures). The NRC staff requests that the licensee provide the following information: (a) previous inspection results of the ASME Code, Section XI RVI components at LGS Units 1 and 2; (b) inspection coverage; (c) corrective actions (if any) taken to ensure structural integrity of the components.
