First session: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (as necessary)

Second session: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (as necessary)

LOCATION: Sunnybrook Ballroom 50 North Sunnybrook Road Pottstown, PA 19464 TELECONFERENCE: Interested members of the public can participate in this meeting via a toll-free teleconference. For details, please call or e-mail Ms. Lisa Regner by Tuesday, September 20, 2011 (contact information below).

CATEGORY 3: These are Category 3 Meetings. The public is invited to participate by providing comments and asking questions throughout the meetings.

PURPOSE: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received a license renewal application (LRA) from Exelon Generation Company, LLC, dated June 22, 2011, for the renewal of the operating license for the Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2. The purpose of these meetings is for the NRC staff to describe the license renewal process and to provide members of the public with the opportunity to provide comments regarding environmental issues the NRC should consider during its review of the LRA.

Wrona - 2 PURPOSE (Cont.): These meetings are being conducted as part of the scoping process outlined in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 51 to support development of an environmental impact statement related to the license renewal action. See the enclosed agenda. Additional information is in the August 26, 2011, Federal Register notice (76 FR 53498). The license renewal application is available at http://www.nrc,gov/reactors/operating/licensing/renewal/applications/limeri ck.html on the NRC's Web page or in the Agencywide Document Access and Management System at Accession No. IVIL 111790800. Both formal sessions will be preceded by an informal "open house" beginning one hour prior to each session for those who wish to attend. The open house will provide members of the public with an opportunity to talk informally one-on-one with NRC staff. Members of the public may register to present oral comments at this meeting by contacting Ms. Lisa Regner, at (800) 368-5642, ext. 1906, or bye-mail at Lisa.Regner@nrc.gov by September 16, 2011. Those who wish to make comments may also register at the meeting within 15 minutes of the start of each session.

Individual oral comments may be limited by the time available, depending on the number of persons who register. Ms. Regner will need to be contacted no later than September 16, 2011, if special equipment or accommodations are needed to attend or to present information at the public meeting.
