FORTHCOMING MEETING TO DISCUSS THE DRAFT SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT FOR THE LICENSE RENEWAL OF LIMERICK GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND2 DATE AND TIME: Thursday, May 23, 2013 (Two Identical Meetings)

First Meeting: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (as necessary)

Second Meeting: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (as necessary)

LOCATION: Sunnybrook Ballroom 50 Sunnybrook Road Pottstown, PA 19464 CATEGORY 3:* These are Category 3 Meetings. The public is invited to participate in these meetings by providing comments and asking questions throughout the meetings.

PURPOSE: To meet with the public to receive comments on the draft Supplement 49 to the Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants (NUREG-1437) for Limerick Generating Station, issued in April 2013. The draft supplemental environmental impact statement (DSEIS) is available on the NRC's Website at:

Both formal sessions will be preceded by an informal open house beginning one hour prior to each session for those who wish to attend.

The open house will provide members of the public with an opportunity to talk informally one-on-one with NRC staff. Members of the public may register to present oral comments at this meeting by contacting Ms. Leslie Perkins, at 800-368-5642, ext. 2375 or bye-mail at leslie.perkins@nrc.gov by May 10, 2013. Those who wish to make comments may also register at the meeting within 15 minutes of the start of each session. Individual oral comments may be limited by the time available, depending on the number of persons who register. Ms. Perkins will need to be contacted no later than Friday, May 10, 2013, if special equipment or accommodations are needed to attend or present information at the public meeting.

  • The NRC staff will host informal discussions one hour prior to each meeting session. No formal comments on the draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) will be accepted during the informal discussions. To be considered, comments must be provided either at the transcribed public meetings (see agenda, above) or in writing, as described in the attached Federal Register Notice.

For the security of everyone attending this meeting, local law enforcement officers may be conducting searches of bags (briefcases, purses, backpacks, equipment cases, etc.)

outside the entry into the meeting room. Additionally, signs, banners, posters and displays affixed to any sticks, poles or other similar devices will not be permitted in the meeting room.
