F"uNCTIONAL TEST SSPS Train B, Reactor Trip Breaker UV Coil 1.0 PURPOSE 1.1 The purpose of this procedure is to verify the operability of the Reactor Trip Breaker under voltage (UV) coil from SSPS Train B.

8.10 Have the Control Operator rack in and close Reactor By-pass Breaker B, and verify that the break~r is in Op~rate position and its light is illuminated.
INITIALS CAUTION Reactor By-pass Breaker B must remain energized for the duration of the m~nual testing, otherwise a Reactor Trip will occur.
8.11 At the LOGIC TEST Panel place the LOGIC A Test Switch in Position 7.
(Pressurizer High Pressure Trip).
8.12 In the MANUAL INPUT FUNCTION TEST portion of the LOGIC TEST PANEL, depress and hold any TWO pushbuttons.
8.13 At the Control Board, verify that Reactor Trip Breaker B is OPEN.
8.14 Verify the UV COIL VOLTAGE meter.indicates approximately 0 VDC.
8.15 Release the pushbuttons depressed in Step* 8.12.
8.16 Place the LOGIC A Test Switch in the OFF position.
8.17 Have the Control Operator close the Reactor Trip Breaker B.
8.18 Have the Control Operator OPEN Reactor By-pass Breaker B.

8.20 Verify that the general warning test LED for SSPS Train B is extinguished in both Train A and Train B.
8.21 Have the Control Operator reinstate the FLUX TRIP MANUAL Blocks from th~ Control Board.
NOTE INITIALS The pushbutton must be pushed even when BEZEL block light is lit. (NO blocks can be applied if their permissives are not present, therefore, only those permitted will be set.)
8.21.1 Block Source Range - Train B pushed.
8.21.2 Block Intermediate Range - Train B pushed.
8.21.3 Block Power Range - Train B pushed.
CAUTION The Flux Trip Manual Blocks must be reinstated prior to placing the input error inhibit switch in the normal position.
8.22 Place the MODE Selector switch in the OPERATE position.
8.23 Actuate the following MANUAL BLOCKS using the pushbuttons on the Control Board.
No blocks can be applied if their permissives are not present; therefore, only those permitted will be set.

8.25 Have the Control Operator reset all unwanted safeguards actions which were re-initiated as a result of this test.
8.26 If the Shift Supervisor wants the Safety Injection block re-initiated for the train, short terminal~
2 and 6 on TDl and have the Control Operator depress S.I.
