E. :J P~SPONSIBILITIES E.l It is t~e responsibility of the Supervisor in charge of the job tc ensure that:

6.1.1 Adequate reference materials are used for troubleshooting and repair.

6.1.2 Technical specifications are considered and not violated.

7.0 PRECAUTIONS AND LIMITATIONS 7.1 When Maintenance Procedures require working around electrical equipment, safety precautions and work habits specified in the Public Service

_Safety Manual shall be observed by all personnel involved in accomplish-ment of those procedures.

7 .2 Wnen slings must be used to accomi:lish Maintenar,ce Procedures, t!-iey shall be used in accorcance -v:i th t:-:.e requirements of Maintenance Procedure I*~2Q.

7.3 When Maintenance Proced\,lres require working on Stainless Steel components of the primar~ system, the following items shall not be used:

7.3.3 Unapproved masking tape, other than for use on protective clc~hing.

7.4 Only pe~so~nel qualified in accordance with Maintenance Procedure (h-3),

7.5 As with all electrical circuits, voltages will be present a~6 ca:?:'e must be taken to prevent electrical shock.

7.6 All circuits shall be analyzed for inadvertent starts or trips of ot~er equipment when lifting leads or using jumpers.

7.7 Components, equipment or material handled over or in proximity to irradiated fuel or safe shutdown eguipment shall be lifted in accordance with Maintenance Procedure M2R.

7.8 During repair and maintenance of station eqJipment, fire barrier integrity must be maintained or restored prior to equipment operation.

If integrity is questioned, evaluation should be requested from the Electrical Engineering Department.

7.9 Prior to applying solvents to electrical co~ponents, verify components are iITL~une to the solvent. On W-2 switches, no solvent cleaning is

\ required or authorized. Clean with a dry cloth only .
