FUN'CTIONAL TEST SSPS Train A, Reactor Trip Breaker UV Coil PURPOSE 1.1 The purpose of this procedure is to verify the operability of the Reactor Trip Breaker under voltage (UV) coil from SSPS Train A.
2.0 REFERENCES
2.1 Solid State Protection System Manual.
2.2 Wiring Diagrams:
203688, 222885, 224305 3.0 PRECAUTIONS 3.1 Test conditions must be applied to only Train A.
A reactor trip will occur if both trains have a general warning condition Therefore, it is extremely important that the doors to only one train at a time are open, to preclude the introduction of test conditions into both trains.
3.2 Test conditions may be applied to one train using its built-in testers, while the opposite train is used to maintain the plant protection and provide data to the demul-tiplexers.
If in the process of testing, malfunctions are detected, they can be isolated by carefully following the
~rocedures in Section 6 of the Solid State Protection Manual.
3.3 This procedure must be completed in the sequence given to ensure successful completion.
4.0 LIMITATIONS AND ACTIONS 4.1 If, at any time during the performance of this test, there is any reason to suspect that the test equipment being used may not be performing properly, a comparison check shall be performed with a similar device or the device shall be checked for calibration against a standard.
This shall be done prior to taking any other corrective action~
4.2 If, during the performance of this test, the "As Fou1'd" data does not meet the requirements of the specified accuracy, the Job Supervisor shall be notified immediately and IC-14.1.001 shall be performed.

FUNCTIONAL TEST SSPS Train A, Reactor Trip Breaker UV Coil 4.0 LIMITATIONS AND ACTIONS (continued) 4.3 If, during the performance of this procedure, the required status indication cannot be obtained, the Job* Supervisor shall be notified immediately.
Exceptions to the required innication, due to plant conditions at the time of the test, may be made by the Job Supervisor.
Any exceptions of this nature must be indicated and explained in the Remarks section of this procedure.
4.4 An entrv will be made in the Remarks section of this procedure indicating any deficiency and the correcti~re action taken.
5.0 TEST EQUIPMENT None Required 6.0 PREREQUISITES 6.1 The individual assigned to perform this procedure is qualified to do so in accordance with Solid State Protection System Qualification Card 2.6.
Supervisor 6.2 The Senior Shift Supervisor/Shift Supervisor has granted permission to perform this procedure.
Senior Shift Supervisor/Shift Supervisor Date/Time 6.3 The Control Operator is aware of all of the alarms and indications that will result from the performance of this procedure.
Control Ooerator 6.4 Quality Control shall be present for the performance of this procedure.

7.1 The following conditions must be established and/or verified by the Control Operator.
7.1.1 Reactor Trip Bypass Breaker B is open and in the Racked Out position.
7.1.2 Safeguard actions which are being blocked by virtue of having been RESET from the Control Bezel will be re-initiated at the completion of this test if the necessary logic signal is present.
The Safeguard actions involved are:
- 1.
- 2.
Phase A Isolation
- 3.
Phase B Isolation
- 4.
Feedwater Isolation
- 5.
Containment Ventilation Isolation from Safety Injection signal Control Operator 8.0 INSTRUCTIONS INITIALS 8.1 Verify the fo~lowing Solid State Protection System Warnings Lamps are Off.
8.1.1 General Warning Lamp - Train A 8.1.2 General Warning Lamp - Train B 8.2 Depress the following.General Warning Lamps and verify the Lamp Lights, and then remains OFF.
8.2.1 General Warning Lamp - Train A 8.2.2 General Warning Lamp - Train B 8.3 Record UV Coil Voltage Meter Reading.
F.equired 43 VDC +/- 2 VDC (when shutdown 0 VDC +/- 2 VDC)
