STATION STATION WORK ORDERS SALEM

1.

SCOPE This instruction applies to the processing of station work orders.

2.

PURPOSE

.The purpose of this instruction is to describe the maintenance work order review by QA Nuclear Operations personnel.

3.

REFERENCED DOCUMENTS Administrative Procedure No. 9 (AP-9) - Control of Station Maintenance.

Master Equipment List (MEL).

4.

IMPLEMENTATION 4.1 All non-safety related work orders will be reviewed as specified in AP-9 by the SQAE or his designee prior to the Senior Shift Supervisor's permission signature.

Safety-related work orders that require an Inspection Hold Point shall also be reviewed when notification is made.

4.2 The designated staff me~ber s~all log in and review the work order for work description and proper classification utilizing the MEL and System Descriptions.

4.2.1 If the classification as non-safety related cannot be confirmed, the performing department*reviewer will confer with the sponsor engineer for the correct classification.

4.3 When the staff member concurs with the classification he/she shall mark the appropriate block on the work order with the Quality Inspection stamp.

• After the work order is stamped, it shall be noted in the log book and the work order released for further processing.

4.4.1 If the work order was reclassified to safety-related, written notification will be sent to the sponsor engineer.

4.5 If a work order is reclassified to safety-related, all applicable safety-related provisions apply.
