Pursuant to 10CFR70.2 and 70.67 and Regulatory Guide 3.15 (Revision 1),
enclosed please find eight copies of Public Service Company of New Hampshire, New Hampshire Yankee Division's application for a special nuclear material license. Also er. closed (Attachment B) are eight copies of the associated physiced security plan. Since this document contains information concerning the applicant's physical protection for special nuclear material not otherwise designated as Safeguards Information, we respectfully request that Attachment B be withheld from public disclosure as provided by 10CFR2.790 (a) and (d).
As provided in our application and pursuant to 10CFR70.24(d), we request an exemption from the requirement of providing a criticality accident alarm system for the storage of new fuel. This is consistent with our responses to RAIs 470.6 and 470.8 [ Reference (b)], as well as Regulatory Guides 3.15 (Revision 1) and 8.12 (Revision 1).
Accordingly, we will be amending the FSAR, in a future amendment, to incorporate those changes required by the exemption. See Attachment A for proposed changes.
The scheduled date for delivery of fuel at Seabrt.ok Station is January, 1986. Accordingly, we request the NRC special nuclear material 4
license no later than December, 1985 4
