CLOSEOUT INSPECTION OF LICENSE SNM-00211, BUILDINGS 675 and 575, TWIN CITY ARSENAL, NEW BRIGHTON, MN (INSPECTION REPORT NO. 070-00228/97001(DNMS))

Dear Mr. Hall:

This refers to the closecut inspection conducted on May 6,1997, of Buildings 675 and 575 located at the Twin City Arsenal, New Brighton, Minnesota. The preliminary results of our inspection were discussed with Mr. Fred Entwistle of your offico at the conclusion i of the inspection on May 6,1997 and during followup telephone conversations on j May 20,1997 and June 6,1997.

The enclosed copy of our inspection report details the results of the inspection.

I Based on the inspection, we have concluded that no further action regarding this license is required. The NRC will have no continuing regulatory interest in the site, except in the unanticipated event that radioactive contamination is found at the site, constituting a significant threat to public health and safety.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
