Dear Mr. Davis:
Enclosed are eight (8) copies of an application for a Special Nuclear Material License for the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit No. 1.
This application is filed pursuant to the Commission's regulations in 10CFR Part 70 requesting authorization for receipt, possession and storage of Unit No. 1 unirradiated fuel assemblies, fission chambers for the incore detection' system _ and the boron 6
monitor fission counter at the Wolf Creek Generating Station.
2 Fuel delivery to the Wolf Creek Site is scheduled to begin on or about April 1, 19831 therefore, we request the Special Nuclear Material License by March 1, 1983.
