The proposed amendment requests a change in the surveillance requirements for
/y            j                          the Emergency Gas Treatment System (EGTS) cleanup subsystems. The

justification to support those proposed changes is provided in Enclosure 2.
U                                        In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 170.22, we have determina 1 the proposed amendment to be Class III for unit 1 and Class I for unit 2.
                  ,      7            These classifications are based on the facts that the changes involve a single H                                      safety issue and that the changes apply to two identical units on the same      ,
      ' ,                              site. The remittance fee of $4400 is being wired to the Nuclear Ragulatory Commission, Attention: Licensing Fee Management Branch.
