In the Matter of the ) Docket Nos. 50-327 Tennessee Valley Authority ) 50-328 By my letter to E. Adensam dated February 1, 1985, we requested an amendment the operating licenses, DPR-77 and DPR-79, for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant units 1 and 2 to revise the technical specifications to allow use of a fifth standby diesel generator (D/G). This submittal is in response to

, conversations between M. Miller of your staff and Everett Whitaker of my staff on March 10, 1986. Due to the decision by TVA management to indefinitely delay the implementation of the addition of a common spare (C-S) emergency diesel generator, TVA was requested to identify those portions of our original submittal which TVA wishes to continue to pursue. This submittal is intended to identify those items. The proposed changes are provided in enclosure 1.

The justification for the proposed technic 21 specification change is provided in enclosure 2. A proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration performed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 is provided in enclosure 3.

A license amendment fee for $150 was submitted with our letter dated February 1, 1986.
