B. Tucker's letter dated April 26, 1990 transmitted Duke's response to a Notice of Violation (413/90-06-02). This letter contained a planned corrective action to initiate a change to the Technical Specification by February 23, 1991. This change would revise two Technical Specification instrumentation setpoints and clarify the action to be taken when a setpoint is found to be between the Allowable Value and the Trip Setpoint Value.
The proposed Technical Specification changes are not necessary for continued plant operation and are only enhancements to the existing Technical Specifications. Procedural changes have ensured compliance with the existing Technical Specifications. Therefore, it is requested that the Technical Specification changes committed to in the April 26, 1990 response be du eted. This deletion will provide the station the flexibility to assign an appropriate priority to these Technical Specification changes.
