There was no effect on the public health and safety. Similar previous occurrences were reported by Deviation Reports D-12-2-80-39 and D-12-2-76-91.                                                                                                '

The foreman and operator vera under the assumption that the floor drains were routed to the *2/3 Radwaste Floor Drain collector. This situation was not recognized by the operator or the Radwaste Foreman involved with the heating boiler flush. At the time    "A" heating boiler was blown down to the storm sewer, the radioactivity was 4.6 X 104 pei/1, per the 2/5/83 sample. The "A" boiler blowdown was secured at 0400 hours on 2/6/83. Total blowdown was 3/4 of the steam drum sight glass which is approximately 700 gal.
