REVISION APPROVAL Sequoyah Nuclear Plant plans to add Flogard MS6237 to our Biocide/Corrosion Treatment Plan.
The SDS for MS6237 is attached.
This chemical will replace Flogard MS6236 for corrosion prevention. The SDS for MS6237 is attached. As shown in the SDS, the active ingredients are phosphoric acid, zinc chloride, and zinc bis(dihydrogen phosphate). MS6237 will be applied at a maximum feed rate of 2.4 ppm. The maximum effluent concentrations will be 0.2 ppm phosphate and 0.2 ppm zinc.
As shown in the SDS, the active ingredients are phosphoric acid, zinc chloride, and zinc bis(dihydrogen phosphate).
* The site would like to begin using the new chemical in mid-December, therefore we are requesting written approval by December 9, 2016. If you have questions, or need additional information, please contact Millicent Garland at 423-843-6714, of Sequoyah's Environmental staff.

Dear Mr. Alexander:

TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY (TVA) -SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) - NPDES PERMIT NO. TN0026450 - REQUEST FOR BIOCIDE/CORROSION TREATMENT PLAN (B/CTP)

REVISION APPROVAL Sequoyah Nuclear Plant plans to add Flogard MS6237 to our Biocide/Corrosion Treatment Plan.

  • The site would like to begin using the new chemical in mid-December, therefore we are requesting written approval by December 9, 2016. If you have questions, or need additional information, please contact Millicent Garland at 423-843-6714, of Sequoyah's Environmental staff.
