In Reference (2), Point Beach provided an estimated completion date for the Phase 2 staffing assessment of four months prior to the beginning of 1R35 (as used within the context of NRC Order EA-12-049). Refueling Outage 1R35 is currently planned for Fall 2014.
Point Beach was scheduled to complete implementation of the mitigating strategies for Unit 1 prior to startup from the October 2014 refueling outage. The completion date for the Phase 2 staffing assessment was based on the implementation of the mitigating strategies. The Phase 2 staffing assessment, among other tasks, will need to assess staffing needed and time required to operate the mitigating strategy equipment.
