Letter, John B. Hickman to E. E. Fitzpatrick, "Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2, ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS RE: BORIC ACID CONCENTRATION REDUCTION (TAC NOS. M94940 AND M94941)", dated August 7, 1997.

The referenced letter transmitted unit 1 technical specification (T/S) amendment 216 and unit 2 T/S amendment 200. The amendments for both units increase the minimum borated water volume in the boric acid storage system and decrease the required boron concentration. These amendments were to be implemented when required plant modifications were completed, but no later than August 31, 1998.

Because of outage related activities, the required system modifications will not be completed by August 31, 1998. Therefore, it date.
