AEROTEST OPERATIONS, INC. - U. S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO REQUEST HEARING ON PROPOSED DENIAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. R-98 (TAC NO. ME1887)
Dear Mr. Brisighella:
In a letter dated January 7, 2010, Aerotest Operations, Inc. requested that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) extend the deadline by which Aerotest may request a hearing to respond to the proposed denial of the Aerotest Radiography and Research Reactor (ARRR) facility operating license renewal. The letter requests the extension "to provide time for the Parties to complete negotiations for the potential sale of the ARRR and for the NRC to review the license transfer request."
The NRC staff has reviewed your request and hereby grants an extension until 20 days after the staff issues the decision on the license transfer application.
