regarding Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2, dated June 20, 2016 In reference 1, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requested that facility licensees provide a proposed schedule of operator licensing examinations and an estimate of the number of candidates requiring initial operator license examinations for calendar years 2018 through 2021, and the number of candidates requiring Generic Fundamentals Examinations (GFEs) for calendar years 2017 and 2018. As requested, this response is being submitted within 30 days and is due on July 16, 2016. However, since July 16, 2016, falls on a weekend, the report is due on July 18, 2016, in accordance with 10 CFR 50.4.

Attachments 1 through 13 nrnvide resnonses to Regulatory Issue Summary (RIS) 2016-09 for the Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) plants identified above. The requested information for each facility is provided on a separate NRC Form 536.

In reference 2, EGC certified to the NRC that it has decided to permanently cease power operations at Clinton Power Station (CPS), Unit 1 by June 1, 2017. Attachment 4 provides responses to RIS 2016-09 for CPS taking into account the cessation of power operations by June 1, 2017, with no planned operator license examinations in 2018 to 2021 and no GFEs for 2017 and 2018.

July 18, 2016 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 3 In reference 3, EGC certified to the NRC that it has decided to permanently cease power operations at Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station (QCNPS), Unit 1 and 2 by June 1, 2018. 1 provides the response to RIS 2016-09 for QCNPS prior to taking into account the cessation of power operations by June 1, 2018. Attachment 11 is subject to change if future examination projections change.

Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station has two initial operator license examinations planned for 2018, with respective counts of examinees reflected on Attachment 8. Unit 2 has an examination scheduled for February 2018, section B identifies seven Reactor Operators and five Senior Reactor Operators proposed. Unit 1 is planning a December 2018 examination, with four Reactor Operators and eight Senior Reactor Operators proposed.
