Xavier Ascanio Director, Office of Nuclear Materials Integration U.S. Department of Energy Attn: NMMSS Program, NA-58 19901 Germantown Road Germantown, MD 20874-1207 Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Unit 2 Docket 50-301 Renewed License No. DPR-27 Weapons Related Obligations for Material in Reactor and Transfer of Foreign Obligations for Material Processed with Foreign Obligated Equipment In accordance with the requirements of NUREG/BR-0006, NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC, (NextEra) has submitted the Transaction Data File for reporting identification symbol RIS XEN associated with the Point Beach Nuclear Plant (PBNP), Unit 2.

PBNP Unit 2 restarted operation following a refueling outage on October 29, 2015. None of the fresh fuel had a Weapons Related (WR) obligation.

In accordance with the requirements specified in NRC letter dated December 16, 2004, NextEra has submitted the Transaction Data File for foreign obligation for material processed with foreign obligated equipment. PBNP installed a reactor vessel closure head from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan. Pursuant to an agreement between the United States and Japanese Governments, NextEra is required to accept a Japanese tracking obligation for nuclear material used in or produced through the use of the reactor in which the closure head is installed. The transaction data file accounts for the transfer of foreign obligations for nuclear material in the reactor.

The transaction data file for PBNP U2 RIS XEN for Japanese foreign obligated material designation was electronically transmitted on November 17, 2015, in accordance with NMMSS Report D-24, Personal Computer Data Input for NRC Licensees.
