Via Reference ( I ) FPL Energy Point Beach, LLC submitted a proposed license amendment request for Commission review and approval pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90 for the Point Beach Nuclear Plant (PBNP), Units 1 and 2. The proposed amendment requested the Completion Time for Technical Specification 3.7.5, "Auxiliary Feedwater System" be extended from seven (7) days to 16 days. References 2, 3 and 4 contained responses for requests for additional information regarding Reference 1.

Document Control Desk Page 2 On August 20, 2008, a teleconference was held with representatives of FPL Energy and the NRC. As a result of that teleconference, a decision was made to withdraw License Amendment Request 260 in its entirety at this time, including the Regulatory Commitments made in References (1) through (4) pending resolution of technical concerns. FPL Energy Point Beach plans to resubmit this license amendment request at a future date when these concerns are resolved.
