SUMMARY

South Texas Project Unit 2 began the reporting period operating at full power. On June 14, at 0435 a manual reactor trip was initiated when the 2C Feedwater Isolation Valve unexpectedly closed during surveillance testing. Corrective maintenance was performed and the unit was returned to service on June 18, at 1745. Full power was achieved on June 20, at 2236.

Reactor 02-01 020614 F 109.2 A 2 02-02-002 SJ ISV Manual reactor trip was initiated when the 2C Feedwater Isolation Valve unexpectedly closed during surveillance testing. The cause was due to a fault in the isolation valve. The fault was repaired and the remaining isolation valves were tested.
