CALCULATION SUBJECT (Statement Of Problem) - Enter this in SUBJECT field in EIS:
Replacement of aging large power transformers has been an industry initiative since SOER 10 1. Life cycle practices for oil cooled power transformers above 10 MVA are established by the SOER. The existing Start up Transformer (XMR01) is designed and manufactured by Westinghouse as original plant equipment.
CP 01500 replaces the startup transformer XMR01 and replacing several components from Phase Differential Relay, along with the Neutral Ground Relay, while eliminating the Deluge Relay AR7, and the fault pressure relay 463X-2/T2.

CALCULATION XX-E- 013 - Post-Fire CALC- 007
Safe Shutdown (PFSSD) Analysis REV. 0
1.0 Purpose and Scope
Wolf Creek is performing a systematic replacement of their large oil-filled transformers to address aging concerns and to implement design improvements in support of station operation. The transformer to be replaced is the Startup Transformer XMR01.
DCP 015000 is replacing XMR01 and several components from Phase Differential Relay, along with the Neutral Ground Relay, while eliminating the Deluge Relay AR7, and the fault pressure relay 463X -2/T2. The purpose of this calculation is to document the impact on Wolf Creek calculation XX -E-013 due to these changes.
2.0 Summary of Results and Conclusions
Wolf Creek calculation XX -E-013 does not have any computations. It is a document used to identify the components required to support the Post Fire Safe Shutdown (PFSSD) functions. Based on the results of this calculation, the replacement of relays will not impact the PFSSD function of XMR01. One deluge relay AR7 (cable 15MRK10AE), and one fault pressure relay 463X -2/T2 (cable 15MRK10AA), are removed from the calculation. Moreover, the fault pressure switch components 463-1/T2, 463-2/T2 (cable 15MRK10AA) are replaced with 263FP/K4B, 263FP/K4A respectively, while fault pressure relay 463X -1/T2 (cable 15MRK10AA) is replaced with 30-10/T1. Furthermore, the ph ase differential 487/T1 relays for cables 15MRX01AG, 16MRX01AG, 16MRX01AH, 16MRX01AJ, are all replaced with 411-2/T1, whereas the neutral ground relays 251N-1/T1, 251N-2/T1 (cable 15MRX01AL), and 251N -3/T1, 251N-4/T1 (cable 16MRX01AP) are replaced with 251NX-1/T1, 251NY-4/T1, 251NX-2/T1, 251NY-

3/T1 respectively. In addition, the phase overcurrent relay 450-451G/T1 for cable 16MRX01AN is replaced with 411-1/T1. The proposed changes to XX-E-013 as a result of DCP 015000 are acceptable.

No. Question Instructions and Guidance YES NO N/A 1 Do assumptions have All Assumptions should be stated in clear X sufficient documented terms with enough justification to confirm rationale? that the assumption is conservative:
For example, 1) the exact value of a particular parameter may not be known or that parameter may be known to vary over the range of conditions covered by the Calculation. It is appropriate to represent or bound the parameter with an assumed value.
- 2) The predicted performance of a specific piece of equipment in lieu of actual test data. It is appropriate to use the documented opinion/position of a recognized expert on that equipment to represent predicted equipment performance.
Consideration should also be given as to any qualification testing that may be needed to validate the Assumptions. Ask yourself, would you provide more justification if you were performing this analysis? If yes, the rationale is likely incomplete.
2 Are assumptions Ensure the documentation for source and X compatible with the rationale for the assumption supports the way way the plant is the plant is currently or will be operated post operated and with the change and they are not in conflict with any licensing basis? design parameters. If the Analysis purpose is to establish a new licensing basis, this question can be answered yes, if the assumption supports that new basis.
