Pine Hill Indian Tribe The First People of Fort Jackson, South Carolina August 2, 2022 Delivered Via Email John M. Moses Stacey Imboden John Pelchat Jean Trefethen Jennifer Tobin Allen Fetter Office of Administration US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555-0001 Re: Westinghouse Electric Companys Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility Hopkins, SC Docket No. 70-1151, License No. SNM1107

Dear USNRC Representatives,

On July 29, 2022 our Tribe received electronic communication containing a letter to Pine Hill Indian Community Development Initiative. I have responded to the email to John Moses and Stacey Imboden on July 29, 2022, as well as spoke to Ms. Stacey Imboden on August 1, 2022 explaining that this communication from NRC is to a nonprofit organization belonging to our Tribe that is not involved in our Tribal Councils affairs and has never been involved in the Westinghouse permit quest. Further, I have explained that our Tribe does not accept communication regarding our tribal affairs through a third-party source, i.e., from any nonprofit Board including that of Pine Hill Indian Community Development Initiative.

Likewise, Pine Hill Indian Tribe does not accept communication for Pine Hill Indian Community Development Initiative, which has its own email address.

We believe NRC has communicated in bad faith to minimize Pine Hill Indian Tribe and circumvent our Tribal Council.
