USAR APPENDIX J INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM This section formerly contained a condensed version of the First 10-year Inservice Inspection Program at Cooper Nuclear Station. That transcription is currently superseded in its entirety by the Cooper Nuclear Station Fifth Ten-Year Interval Inservice Inspection (ISI)

Program and Third Ten-Year Interval Containment Inservice Inspection (CISI) Program. This document is incorporated by reference into the USAR in its entirety. Al though a part of the USAR, the Inservice Inspection Program has been removed from this Appendix and is currently maintained, revised and distributed under separate cover. The program is based on the requirements of Section XI of the ASME Code as required by the provisions of 10CFR50.55a(g).

The ISI/CISI Programs are based on ten-year inspection intervals. Every ten years the program is updated to the latest ASME Section XI code edition and addendum approved by the NRC in 10 CFR 50.55a. In September of 1996, the NRC required utilities to establish containment inspection programs in accordance with Subsection IWE of the 1992 Edition of ASME Section XI. The interval and code of record for the CISI Program for the first and second 10-year intervals did not align with the ISI Program 10-year intervals. As part of the 5th 10-year interval ISI update, the 3rd 10-year interval CISI Program was aligned with the 5th ISI Program Interval. The interval for the 5th ISI and 3rd Containment ISI Program started on April 1, 2016 with the code of record for the combined programs utilizing the 2007 Edition, 2008 Addenda of ASME Section XI.

Inspection, repair, and replacement of components and supports within the scope of the ISI/CISI Programs are covered in applicable ASME Section XI Subsections IWB, IWC, IWD, IWE, and IWF for Class 1, 2, 3 and MC.
