The purpose of this e-mail is to transmit a request for information (RFI) in support of an in-office review of recent changes to Wolf Creeks Emergency Plan and an implementing procedure which were submitted as a summary document in mid-March 2021 (ADAMS Accession No. ML21098A054). The details of the requested information are attached.

The in-office review will be conducted using IP 71114.04 and it is my intention to complete this review by the end of the 2nd Quarter for documentation in this quarters report. In support of this desired timeline and balancing other inspection activities, I request that the materials described in the attachment be provided by April 27, 2021, via the electronic portal of the stations choosing.

HOWEVER, should this timeline be challenging to complete by April 27 given current station activities (i.e., refueling outage), please endeavor to instead provide the information by May 14, 2021. If you have any questions/concerns regarding this request, please contact me using the contact information below.

This request does not contain new or amended information collection requirements subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). Existing information collection requirements were approved by the Office of Management and Budget under control number 3150-0011. The NRC may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, a request for information or an information collection requirement unless the requesting document displays a currently valid Office of Management and Budget control number.

Request for Information for In-Office Inspection of Emergency Plan Changes Docket 05000482 (Wolf Creek); Inspection Report 2021002 Inspection Procedure 71114.04 Relative to a recent transmittal concerning changes to the Radiological Emergency Response Plan and Dose Assessment procedure revisions that were submitted to the NRC (ADAMS Accession Nos. ML21098054), please provide the following documents in support of an in-office inspection of those changes to be completed in the 2nd Quarter 2021.

1. Complete copy of the Wolf Creek Radiological Emergency Response Plan [RERP]

(AP 06-002), Revision 21A, as issued on its effective date (3/11/2021).

2. All change process applicability screens, 10 CFR 50.54(q) screens, and 10 CFR 50.54(q) evaluations completed for Wolf Creek RERP, Revision 21A.
3. Complete copy of Wolf Creek Procedure EPP 06-012, Dose Assessment, Revision 17A, as issued on its effective date (3/11/2021).
4. All change process applicability screens, 10 CFR 50.54(q) screens, and 10 CFR 50.54(q) evaluations completed for Procedure EPP 06-012, Revision 17A.
5. Copy of the current revision of the Wolf Creek procedure(s) used to complete change process applicability screenings and 10 CFR 50.54(q) screens and evaluations. (If prior versions of the requested procedures were used to process the screens/evaluations requested in RFI Items 1-4, please provide the prior versions of the procedures as well.)

Please make the requested materials available to the lead NRC Region IV EP Inspector (R.

Alexander) in electronic format using the online document portal of the stations choice, by COB on Wednesday, April 27, 2021. (If there are any challenges in meeting this timeline, please contact the R. Alexander at (817) 200-1195, at your earliest convenience.)
