05-13-21 Gurdziel Letter 21-0150 (1).pdf Hi Tom! I am responding to your e-mail of May 14. On behalf of the NRC let me apologize again for the difficulties you encountered during our May 13 end of cycle meeting which prevented you from asking a question.
Region IV personnel spoke to the Verizon meeting operator and opened a help ticket to explore if there were any technical issues that would have prevented meeting attendees from asking questions by pressing *1. The Verizon technicians checked the call path and concluded that there were no issues that could have caused problems on the meeting participants end. The Operator suggested that for future meetings, we inform the public that they can also press *0 at any time during the meeting and that gets the attention of the Operator. We plan to use that as part of our introductory remarks in future public meetings.
You had also asked when the most recent nighttime inspection of a Region IV plant was conducted. Wolf Creek had 5 nighttime inspections during the spring refueling outage, including May 11-12 and 14 for two plant startups and power ascension.
