132 Caroline Street Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22401 Email: esandtner@gmail.com Submitter's Representative: Edward Sandtner General Comment Please assure that public that safety is your priority. The NRC is obligated to set forth standards per the scientific community's research and data and is more so obligated when public safety is at risk. There must be a thorough and most-up-to-date Environmental Impact Statement on the North Anna nuclear plants. Because North Anna was the only nuclear reactors in the U.S. to shut down as the earthquake exceeded its design limits, the NRC is obligated to assure that seismic standards have been corrected. I understand that there is no regulatory requirement nor enforcement. What, then, assures that the public is safe?

The subsequent license renewal should not be awarded unless a site-specific and current EIS is performed and solutions implemented.
