C Enclosed is the original and three (3) copies of Revision 50 of the Byron Nuclear Power Station Security Plan.
This submittal reflects the changes in the organizational structure of Comed's Nuclear Security Department. The Station Security Administrator reports off site to the Corporate Security Manager while maintaining an information and coordination channel to the Site Vice-President.
The Corporate Security Manager now has overall responsibilities for the Company's Nuclear Security Program and reports to the Senior Vice-President.
Drawing 5A has been revised to depict the "as built" Vehicle Barrier System that was previously approved by NRC Regional and NRR personnel.
Pursuant to 10CFR 50.54(p), the signed original and three copies of the Security Plan revisions are being provided to your office. A copy of this letter and two copies of the Security Plan revisions are being sent to Region Ill.
We have concluded that these changes do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the plan. These enciesures contain Safeguards Information which must be protected from public disclosure pursuant to 10CFR 73.21.
