Byron Nuclear Power Stations Units 1 and 2 Byron Station Security Plan NRC Docket Nos. 50-454 & 50-455 TAC NosM5282/65283 Enclosed is the original and three (3) copies of Revision 45 of the Byron Nuclear Power Station Security Plan. This revision eliminates certain security requirements for controlling access of personnel and materials into reactor containment in accordance with the deletion of paragraph (d) (8) of 10CFR 73.55 as published September 7,1995 in the Federal Register.
Pursuant to 10CFR 50.54(p), the signed original and three copies of the Security Plan revisions are being provided to your office. A copy of this letter and two copies of the Security Plan revisions are being sent to Region i

We have concluded that these changes to not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the plan. These enclosures contain Safeguards Information which must be protected from public disclosure pursuant to 10CFR 73.21.
