South Texas Project Electric Generating Station April Surveillance Schedule and Construction Milestone Events

Dear Mr. Hubacek:

Attached is a copy of our April Surveillance Schedule. The most prominent activities taking place in March were concrete placement for a portion of the ninth lift and completion of the eighth lift on Unit 1 Containment Building exterior vall, installation of the eighth ring of the containment liner for Unit 2, completion of installation of the bottom containment liner, including the leak chase system for Unit 2, and some ASME welding of the Fuel Fool Coolant Pipe in the Fuel Handling Building for Unit 1.

The following is a list of major construction act-ivities planned or continuing in April:

1) Cooling reservoir construction

2) Erection of Containment Building Liners for Units 1 & 2 by PDM Central Division

3) Fabrication and erection of stainless steel fuel pool liners for Units 1 & 2 by PDM Southern Division h) Concrete placements in Containment Building, Fuel Handling Building, and Mechanical-Ele,ctrical Auxiliary Building in Units 1&2

5) Structural backfill placement for Units 1 & 2

6) Excavation. welding, and installation of Essential Cooling Water piping system I
