STAFF REQUIREMENTS - BRIEFING ON INVESTIGATION OF QA-QC PROBLEMS AT SOUTH TEXAS NUCLEAR PROJECT, 2:50 P.M., TUESDAY, APRIL 15, 1980, ROOM 550, EAST-WEST TOWERS, BETHESDA, MARYLAND (CLOSED TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)

The Comission* discussed the"dIaft South Texas Investigation Report, which was forwarded to the Commission on April 11, 1980.

The Comission requested:

1.

That I&E point out in the enforcement package that deficiencies in the Brown & Root QA-QC program are the reason for the enforcement action; (I'.&E) (SECY Suspense: 4/25/80) 2.

That DIA investigate whether an NRC employee was iriforming Brown & Root of complaints made to NRC and of the individual complainants' identity; (0IA)

Commissioner Bradford requested:

That I&E interview civil OC inspectors who had terminated their employment at the site.
