  • 2.0 GE!1ERAL 2.1 PURPOSE To establish the r:nans general intent specified in Reference 1-A thru l- lished. Measures shall be inplemented to def' ilt configurations of @plicable systems and to ev study consequences of high energy lines, if postu locations are altered che to as-built support locat' .

2.2 SCOPE

'Ihis instructidh shall @ ply to the following piping:

Safety Class Size 1 All sizes 2,3 Iarge Bore 2,3,5 Designated Small Bore (up to and including the first anchcr cr terminal connection) that interacts with safety related Large Bore pipe.

Additional piping may be as-built verified upon written request to and approval by the TSABC. 'Ibese additional lines are rot specifically within the scope of this instruction and may be processed only as necessary to satisfy particular requirements.

2.3 GE!ERAL PROGRAM DESCRIPTIGI A package consisting of cbcuments required to describe the as-built configuraticn of the piping and support system shall be assembled by stress problem cr other defined cbcument and transmitted to the F01A-85-59 60 4 860521 CARDE85-59 PDR

Upon conpletion of analysist verification, the suppat designs will be reviewed to assure acceptability. Darage study interface will be initiated when applicable.

2.4 DEFINITIOS A!;D ABBREVIATIOS QAABC - Olality Assurance As-Built Coordinator TSABC - Technical Services As-Built Coordinator BRP - Piping Isometric Drawing BIE - Pipe Support Detail Drawing BIEL - Pipe Support Iocation Drawing ,

GE - Small Bore Pipe and Support Incation Drawing small Bore - piping less than 21/2 inches in diameter Iarge Bore - piping 21/2 inches in diameter and larger PIRF - Piping Deviation Record Form - See Reference 1-F 2.5 RESPOSIBILITY 2e CPP Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing technical direction and administrative guidance to the CPP Mechanical Engineering organization of which the Technical Services Group is a part.

The Technical Services Group Supervisor is responsible for ensuring activities within the purpose and scope of this instruction are cmpleted in accordance with the measures described herein.

Se TSABC is responsible fx inplementing tHs instruction. The TSABC shall coordinate the assembly and tran.=mittal of as-built verificaticn packages, interfa activities, and establish and maintain adequate tracking mechanisms x logs to assure positive control of all activities described within this instruction.

When specific individuals are designated by title in this instruction, it shall be assumed a designee may act in that capacity.

Ebcumentation of such designation shall be maintained within the Technical Services Group.

3.0 INSTRUCTIQ1 3.1 INITIATIGI 3.1.1 General The TSABC shall assemble a package for as-built verification. 'Ihe verification process may be initiated prix to the installation of all caponents and supports on a given stress problem. Such exceptions shall be tracked and as-built verified prix to final certification of the stress problem.

[ ATE CP-EI-4. 5-1 3 1-28-82 3 of 12 3.1.2 As-Built Verification Packace he as-built verification package shall consist of the following documents as required:

a. BRP's
b. BRHL's
c. GE and associated suppcrt &awings
d. BRH's
e. As-Built 01ecklist (Figure 1)
f. PDRF's
g. Additional inferration as required including the identification of stiffness values for supports on Class 1 Stress problems and mininum wall (Ref.1-G, DCA-5551) violation data.

3.1.3 As-Built Packaoe Precaration 2e TSABC shall coordinate the updating of required &awings with the apprcpriate engineering drafting group.

3.1.4 L on receipt of updated drawings the TSABC shall review the package fcr clarity and mark the drawings "For As-Built Verification Only".

The drafting group and TSABC shall fill out the apprcpriate portions of the As-Built Checklist.

3.2 AS-BUILT VERIFICATIO:

3.2.1 CAABC Interface and Activities 2e TSABC shall forward the package to the QAABC dio shall coordinate the necessary effort fcr verifying (and obtaining if necessary) the required as-built inferration. The QAABC shall emplete the appropriate porticn of the As-Built Checklist.

3.2.2 As-Built Verification (ABV) Tag During the verification process, ABV tags (Figure 2) shall be attached to the line - at strategic locations - by verification personnel.

3.2.3 Tolerances Applicable tolerances for wrification are shown in parenthesis in paragraph 3.2.4 and 3.2.5.

a. Dimensions (+ 2").
b. Elevations (T 1").

c. Valves. he valve location and mark (type) nu:ters of all valves shall be verified. In addition, the orientation of valves 2 1/2 inches and larger, and power actuated valves shall be verified.
d. Sleeve clearances including applicable PDRF's (11/8").
e. Dquipment. n;uipment shall be identified by mark nunber, and the orientation of equipment supported by the piping shall also be shown.

3.2.5 Verification of BRHIh and GUUs verification shall include:

a. Support mark numbers,
b. Dimensional location of supports (12").

3.2.6 Verification of Sucoorts verification shall be limited to:

a. Type of support
b. Orientaticn of stpport g
c. Clearance between pipe and support, where gplicable 3.2.7 Supoorts Not Installed Nhen a design location is designated on the support location drawing, the following shall te determined by TSABC.
a. Se support can be installed.
b. Se proper location has been reserved for the support.

If the support can tot be installed, the @propriate location drawing shall be so noted.

3.2.8 Comoletion of Verification The QAABC shall review and transmit the package to the TSABC noting apprcpriate corrents.

3.3 AS-BUILT WAWDU UPDTCE 3.3.1 Initiation 2e TSABC shall review the package and forward the @plicable drawings to the responsible engineering drafting group. Additional ccanents by the TSABC shall be specifically noted.

3.4 AtIALYSIS T "JE AS-BUILT CDl!DITIQI 3.4.1 Transmittal and Analysis

'Ihe TSABC shall review for empleteness and forward the updated

' package to the responsible analysis organization which shall update i

analyses in accordance with established procedures /instructicns.

Discrepant or missirrJ information shall be resolved /obtained through the TSABC.

3.4.2 Resolution of l'nacceptable Analysis

'Ihe TSABC shall coordinate the resolution of unacceptable analyses with the responsible engineering organization including i re-verification as applicable.

3.4.3 Ibcumentation If analysis review is performed pricr to all corponents and. supports being installed or if any caponent a support is modified during analysis review, the TSABC will determine if function or location is changed. The TSABC shall coordinate verification of suppcrts with the QAABC as required. If there is no inpact on the documents originally issued fa analysis review, the information will be furnished in writing to the respcnsible analysis organization for information. If there is inpact, the information shall be furnished for review and acceptance by the responsible analysis organization.

The TSABC will be responsible for identifying and rectifying any affected documents in all cases.

3.5 ISSUAtIG & AtIALYSES 3.5.1 Reanalysis Ibt Required If an analysis is verified to be acceptable based on the as-built configuration, the appropriate docunentation shall be empleted by the responsible analysis aganization and transmitted to the TSABC.

3.5.2 Reanalysis Recuired - Ibn-High Enerav Lines When reanalysis is required for acceptance of a non-high energy line, the problem shall be issued per 3.5.1 with the following additions:

a. Revised loads shall be transmitted to the TSABC.
b. The TSABC shall coordinate verification of individual hangers in accordance with 3.6.

In addition, the TSABC shall coordinate @plicable da: rage study activities.

3.5.4 Certification Certification of each analysis shall be furnished bv the respersible analysis organization. The TSABC shall assemble applicable statements of verification by system or other designated neans.

3.6 VERIFICATIOT A!;D CERTIFICATIQI OF PIPE SUPPORT DESIGI 3.6.1 Succort Design Verification Support design shall be verified to as-built analysis support loads by the responsible engineerirg organization. Support modifications shall be cocrdinated by the TSABC wrien required.

3.6.2 Certification Support drawings verified to be acceptable shall be certified by an authorized representative of the responsible design crganization.

Certified drawings shall be designated "As-Built Verified". 'Ihe TSABC shall doctrent support verification by cccpleting the apprcpriate portion of the As-Built Checklist.

3.7 COMPIETIQI OF AS-BUILT VERIFICATIQ3 ACTIVITIES l

Prcper documentation shall be assenbled and forwarded to the Permanent Plant Records Vault (PPRV). The TSABC shall assure acknowledgement by the PPRV.

TUGCD will be notified upon ecopletion of as-built wrification activities.
