t 2.4 DOCUMENTATION All markings on drawings, specified in this " instruction,

. shall be in red ink. All drawings used for As-Built Verification shall have an open "As-Buil t" revision and

+

shall be controlled issue by Technical Services As-Built Coordinator.

Blueline drawings for each BRP and BRHL shall be issued to the QA As-Built Coordinator. The QA As-Built Coordinator will issue work copies of each for field verification.

After verification of drawings, all red marks will be neatly transferred to the record drawing for returning to the Technical Services As-Built Coordinator.

Field work drawings shall be retained by QA As-Built for final review and closure of the As-Built revision.

3.0 INSTRUCTION

( 3.1 AS-BUILT TAGS As-Built tags (Attachment 1) shall be attached to all l hangers and in highly visible locations on pipe prior to su rvey. All requi red infomation shall be shown on each tag. Location, however, will be listed as the applicable

, stress problem number.

Prior to perfomance of any work on a tagged line or its components, the QA As-Built Coordinator shall be consulted.

3.2 VERIFICATION OF BRP DRAWINGS 3.2.1 Dimensions At least one point en the pipe configuration on each stress problem will be verified for reference location to column ,

lines.

.s All dimensions verified shall be accurate within 22 inches.

Elevations veriff'ed, sh'al.1 be accurate within 1 inch.

If a dimension is a's- per drawing it shall be circled and checked. If a dimension is at variance with the drawing

, it shall be circled and the As-Buil t dimension written adjacent to the circle. j

a. Elevations , for each BRP, shall be in reference to a single bench mark. . -

1 Whenever possible a surveyor's level and a level rod -

i shall be used to determine elevations. If necessary, a i steel tape may be used to measure vertical lengths.

b. Horizontal dimensions shall be verified by measurement to and from defined points, i.e.; tangent intersection points, support centerline, etc.. Such measurements shall be taken using a steel tape and plumb bob (when necessary) to obtain a true horizontal length,
c. If a vertical run of pipe can be detemined to be out-of-pl umb, the Technical Services As-Built Coordinator will be contacted to determine the degree of plumbness required.

3.2.2 Valves The valve location and mark (type) number shall be verified.

For all valves 2S inches nominal pip'e size and larger, as well as power actuated 2 inches nominal pipe size and smaller valves, the valve orientation shall be shown on the BRP and verified.

If the valve is oriented as per drawing it shall be circled and checked. If orientation is at variance with drawing then the valve will be circled and the actual orientation shall be written adjacent to the dircle.

3.2.3 Sleeves I

The following infomation shall be verified for all piping passing through structural walls and floors.

a. Identification of pipe sleeve shall be shown on BRP and the Sleeve Take-Off (Reference 1-A). Numerical identification numbers shall be assigned for each BRP.  !
b. Sleeve eccentricity (if any) shall be detemined by measuring the clearance between the pipe and sleeve in 4 positions, two horizontal and two vertical. This infomation will be shown on the Sleeve Take-Off, and shall be verified to 11/8 inch.

c. If PDRF's are incorporated as part of the As Built package, then for that unique sleeve, inYomation on the PDRF shall be verifed as in "b" above. -
d. Location of sleeve with respect to associated pipe shall be shown on BRP drawing, by dimension verification described in 3.2.1. _

3.2.4 Interconnecting Equipment All interconnecting equipment such as pumps, tanks ,

strainers, etc. shall be clearly identified on the BRP. This shall include as a minimum the equipment mark number. The orientation of any item that is totally supported by the interconnecting piping shall be clearly shown on the BRP.

If the above infomation is found to be as shown on drawing, the equipment item shall be circled and checked. If there i

exists some variance then the item shall be circled and the appropriate infomation shall be noted adjacent to the circle.

3.3 VERIFICATION OF BRHL DRAWINGS:

All BRHL drawings shall be verified to ascertain the following: _

a. The number of installed hangers agrees with the number shown on the BRHL. This shall be shown on Section III of the As-Built Checklist (Reference 1-A).
b. The actual mark numbers agree with 'the mark numbers shown on the BRHL. If this is the case, the number shall be circled and a check shall be made adjacent to the circle. If the numbers do not agree the number appearing on the drawing shall be circled and the actual mark number written adjacent to it or the BRH '

drawings will be referenced with mark numbers found.

c. The dimensional location of each support shall be verified and recorded in manner delineated in 3.2.1.
d. Hangers designated anchors that are cast in concrete

, shall be verified in place. This shall be shown on l Section III of the As-Built Checklist. l 3.4 VERIFICATION OF GHH-BRHL ORAWINGS:

All GHH-BRHL drawings shall be verified according to 3.3.

QI-QP-11.13-1 2 JAN z u IW2 5 of 6 3.5 VERIFICATION OF BRH'S 3.5.1 Installed Hangers All BRH hanger sketches shall be verified to ascertain the following:

a. The actual configuration of the hanger agrees with that shown on the BRH.
b. The orientation of the hanger agrees with the orientation shown on the BRH. i'
c. The ' total clearance between the hanger and the pipe is equal to that shown on the BRH.

All of the above shall be documented on Section III of the As-Built Checklist. Additionally, the Inspector will circle

(

and check the BRH number on the BRH if (a) and (b) are correct. If not, the number shall remain unmarked and the QA As-Built Coordinator shall be notified, so that he then may take the necessary steps to correct the drawing or the hanger.-

The As-Built Inspector will also mark the BRH for Item (c) in the manner delineated in paragraph 3.2.1.

3.5.2 Non-Installed Hangers *

, If a hanger is not installed, the clearance around the pipe will be checked to assure that the hanger can be installed per design drawing. If the support cannot be installed, it shall be so noted on the BRHL.

3.6 AS-BUILT CHECKLIST Upon completion of the As-Built verification in the field, the QA As-Built Inspector shall review the drawing package (see definitions) and complete Section III of the As-Built Checklist. The package is then reviewed by the QA As-Built Coordinator and combined with other drawing packages in the same stress problem. This combined package is then returned to the Technical Services As-Built Coordinator.
