SUBJECT:

NOVEMBFR 14-16, 1984,~ TRIP REPORT TO

! COMANCHE PEAK - QA/QC FOLLOW-UP ON RAISED CONCERNS On November 15, 1984, several concerns were voiced regarding two specific Nonconformance Reports (NCRs). Neither originator had been contacted as to the status of the NCRs by the utility. Both NCRs were approximately four months old. One addressed the falsification of a QC inspection report. The other questioned inspection results for non-ASME inspectors involved in the drug usage on site. Since the NCRs dealt with sensitive subjects, the NCR originators were concerned about the close-out and dispositions of the NCRs.

While on site, the NRC resident inspectors were contactcd by the TRT as to their knowledge of the NCRs. The resident inspectors were involved with monitoring the status and dispositioning of the NCRs. One resident contacted the utility's QA manager and asked him to apprise the NCR originators of current status. Upon-follow-up, the resident found that the originators were contacted and satisfied with dispositioning and outcome of the NCRs. The falsification NCR has been closed out. Investigation of the drug NCR is ongoing and has been expanded to include ASME as well as non-ASME inspectors.

Consequently, the raised concerns have been adequately addressed and satisified.
