PORTSMOUTH GASEOUS DIFFUSION PLANT - RECEIPT OF CERTIFICATE AMENDMENT REQUEST REGARDING COMPLIANCE PLAN ISSUE A.4 (TAC NO.'L32105) AND STATUS OF OTHER CERTIFICATE AMENDMENT REQUESTS
Dear Mr. Miller:
We have received your application dated October 14,1998, to amend issue A.4 of the Plan for Achieving Compliance with NRC Regulations at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant (Compliance Plan). Your request has been assigned TAC No. L32105. Please reference this number in any future correspondence associated with this request.
We have completed the initial administrative review of your application for amendment of your certificate by revising issue A.4 of the Compliance Plan. No omissions or deficiencies were identified, therefore, we have found it acceptable for formal review. Please note that the technical review may identify omissions in the submittal information or technical issues that require additionalinformation.
Based on our administrative reviews and projection of current review schedules, we would anticipate completing our review by November 30,1998. This date could change depending on the findings or our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.
1 A copy of your correspondence has been forwarded to our License Fee and Accounts Receivable Branch, Office of the Controller, who will contact you separately for billing if your request is subject to full cost recovery.
\\ D With regard to your certificate amendment request dealing with Seal Exhaust Pump Oil Overflows (TAC No. L32031), we anticipate completing our review by December 18,1998.
Please note that we are closing TAC No. L32074 which was assigned to your Safety Analysis
/0 Report Update (SARUP) amendment request dealing with the elimination of the fire f
suppression sprinkler systems as AO systems in the autoclave facilities in X-342 and X-344.
Our review will be conducted as part of the Portsmouth SARUP amendment request review under TAC No. L32044.
