Dear Mr. Miller:

We have received your applications to amend Certificates of Compliance GDP-1 and GDP-2 transmitted by letters dated August 18,1997, and October 31,1997, updating the application Safety Analysis Reports (SARs). Your requests have been assigned TAC No. L32043 for Paducah and TAC No. L32044 for Portsmouth. Please reference these numbers in any future correspondence associated with these reques,ts.

We have completed the initial administrative review of your application for amendments of your certificates. For those updated sections of the application SARs submitted for review, no omissions or deficiencies were identified, thereft,re, we have found them acceptable for formal re/aw. Please note that the formalieview may identify omissions in the submittalinformation or issues that require additional informat'on. i Based on our administrative reviews and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our review by July 30,1998.
