- < GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY SOUTHWEST ATWIC ENERCY ASSOCIATES DOGET No. 50-231 PROVISIONAL CONSTRUCTION PERMIT Construction Permit No. CPPR-17 Amendment No.1 Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-17 is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follous:
- 1. Pursuant to Section 104 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, (the Act), and Title 10, Chapter 1, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50, "Li-ceasing of Production and Utilisation Facilities", and the Decision of the Atomic Energy Comunission (the Commission) dated March 7,1966, a provisional construction permit is hereby issued to General Electric Company and South-west Atomic Energy Associates (the Applicants) for a utilization facility (the facility) as described in the application and amendments thereto filed is this matter by the Applicants and as more fully described in the evidence received at the public hearing upon the application. The utilisation facil-ity is a 20 megawatt (tharmal) plutonia-urania-fueled, fast-spectrum, sodim -
cooled, experimentsi reactor which is to be located in Cove Creek Township, Washington County, Arkansas.
2 This permit shan bis deemed to contain and be subject to the conditions specified in Sections 50.54 and 50.55 of said regulations; is subjoe.t to all applicable provisions of the Act, the rules, regulations, and orders of the Commission now or hereafter in effect; and is subject to the conditions specified or incorporated below:
A. The earliest date for the completion of the facility is Septmaber 1, 1967, and the latest date for completion of the facility is March 1, 1968.
E. The facility shall be constructed and located at the site as described in the application, as amended, in Cove Creek Township, Washington County, Arkansas.

- Applicants submit to the Counission, by anandment to the application, the complete final hasards summary report, portions of which may be submitted and evaluated from time to time, and (b) the Commission finds that the j final design provides reasonable assurance that the health and safety of
! the public will not be endangered by operation of the facility in accord-e ance with procedures approved by the Counission in connection with the issuance of said license, and (c) the Applicants submit proof of financial l protection and the execution of an indennity agreement as required by Section 170 of the Act.
