Complete The Reactor Systems Branch has reviewed the Extended Statistical Combination of Uncertainties (ESCU) methodology presented in topical report CEN_348(BI-P.
This report describes a modified methodology of the existing Statistical j
Combination of Uncertainties (SCU) for statistically combining the uncertainties involved in the departure from nucleate boiling and its associated analog system setpoints which had previously been approved by the staff. The staff finds the ESCU methodology acceptable for Calvert Cliffs Units 1 and 2 utilizing CE 14x14 fuel assemblies.
This completes the staff's effort on TACs 64985 and 64986. A SALP imput is i
also enclosed.
