Complete The Reactor Systems Branch has prepared the enclosed evaluation daltimore Gas and Electric Company's prop (osed )

of the January 20, 1987 Technical Specification change request for Calvert Cliffs Units 1 and 2.

The proposed change increases the surveillance interval of Surveillance Requirements 4.1.3.4.c and 4.3.3.2.b on CEA Drop Times and Incore Detection System, respectively, from at least once per 18 months to at least once per 2

refueling interval. The Reactor Systems Branch concludes that the proposed Technical Specification changes are acceptable.

This completes our efforts on TAC Nos. 64601 and 64602.

Our input for a SALP evaluation is provided in Enclosure 2.
