Section !!.8.a.(1) of the Saxton Technical Specifications requires that a contalment veccel integral leakage rate test be conducted at apnroxir.ateD two year intervals. The last leakage rate test was conducted w ,dTct,' 1966.

Operation of the Sarton Reactor with Core II is now schedulai to t

teminate on October 18, 1968. To meet operator training co=1tr.ents and complete the Core II experir. ental progr=n, power operation will be teminated on Septu ber 30. Durir,g the period October 1 to October 18, the reactor will be utiH:od for zero power physics measurancnts and operator startup training.

Beginning October 18, the facility will be can Nn for approximate 4 four months for plant maintenance, inspection of the primary coolent systen, modification of the caergency core cooling system and refueling with Core III.

Tne next contaiment vescel 17akage rate test will be conducted after the above items have been ecx:pleted and before reactor startup with Core III.
